2 Weeks in Andalucia: Ultimate 14-Day Andalucia Itinerary

2 weeks in Andalucia: What to do and see?

Do you want to visit Andalucia in two weeks? Perfect, you’ve come to the right place!

To help you organize your stay, I have prepared a 2-week Andalucia itinerary so that you don’t miss any of the famous cities and unmissable places of interest in this region of Spain.

From SevilleCordcoba and Granada via MalagaRondaCadiz and much more, here are our tips and tricks for organizing your 14, 15 or 16 day Andalucia itinerary.

Also find our selection of the best accommodation for each stage, depending on your budget.

So, here begins our 2 weeks Andalucia itinerary!

Day 1-3: Seville

To visit Andalucia in 14-15 days, I suggest you land in Seville.

You will need to rent a car for the rest of this 2-week Andalucia itinerary, but not necessarily to visit Seville, which is very easy to do on foot or by public transport. You will therefore have the choice between renting it now at the airport or coming back to pick it up the morning of the next stage.

Then reach your hotel by car or bus. Every 1/2 hour, a bus leaves the airport and reaches the city center in 40 minutes for 4€ per trip.

It is now time to begin this two-week stay in Andalucia. I will start by giving you some tips for visiting Seville in 3 days.

Seville is renowned for its emblematic monument: the Cathedral of Our Lady of the See. This is the first place I suggest you discover.

For this, it is better to buy your skip-the-line tickets in advance. You will understand why when you see the line that stretches at all hours of the day in front of the entrance!

2 possibilities of visit are proposed:

Another solution, and which does not require a reservation in advance:

First go to the Iglesia Colegial San Salvadore . The ticket sold at the entrance is in fact a combined (and skip-the-line) ticket and allows you to also visit the cathedral! The church is just a 10 minute walk from the cathedral and opens at 11am. Be there then.

You can then enjoy your visit to the interior of the cathedral, which is truly sumptuous, and the Giralda, the top of which offers a panoramic view of Seville.

Seville Cathedral

Then continue your first day in Seville:

The sublime Spanish Steps in Seville

The next day, continuation of this 14-15 day itinerary in Andalucia.

Second day in Seville, we leave for a walk in the city.

First go to the Alcazar of Seville, the second must-see monument!

And of course there are always so many queues to access it, hence the possibility of directly buying your skip-the-line tickets right here or your Seville City Pass.

After this formality, all you have to do is stroll around the palace and gardens. Count one morning for the visit.

After the lunch break, still in the Santa Cruz district, discover the Casa de Pilatos with its large patio and pretty gardens.

Then stroll at your leisure or return to your hotel to enjoy a bit of pool time.

At the end of the day, head to the Metropol Parasol to admire one of the best viewpoints over all of Seville during sunset.

And to finish on a traditional Andalucian note, I suggest you attend a flamenco show. This is the typical activity to do during a 14-day Andalucia itinerary. I recommend the one in the flamenco museum. Tickets are sold here!

Tips for your Andalucia itinerary:

Since this 2-week itinerary in Andalucia also includes a visit to Cordoba and Granada, to save money, you also have the option of taking the Andalucia Pass.

The Alcazar of Seville

Day 4: Cordoba

Second stage of this 15-16 day Andalucia itinerary, we leave Seville to go to Cordoba, about 1h40 by car.

In Cordoba too, there is a monument to visit absolutely. As famous as the Cathedral or the Alcazar of Seville, it is the famous Mezquita or Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba. The interior is truly unique and stunning with its dozens of red and white columns and archways.

Entrance tickets are to be taken at the automatic cash desks (faster than the counter). In addition to visiting the Mezquita, you can also climb the minaret for €2.

If you prefer a guided tour, no problem, you can book it here.

Note that if you have taken the Andalucia Pass which I told you about a little earlier, a guided tour is already included.

After the Mosque-Cathedral, head for one of the city’s two large squares where restaurants are concentrated: Plaza de las Tendillas or Plaza de la Corredera. Very different, I advise you to eat in one of the squares for lunch and the other in the evening.

To digest, nothing like a short stroll along the Guadalquivir river. You will see some interesting historical buildings there including the bridge gate, the Roman bridge and the Calahorra tower (on the other side). It is possible to climb to the top to have a beautiful unobstructed view of Cordoba and the mosque.

Finally, last visit of this day in Cordoba to the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos. The place is worth the detour for its sumptuous gardens embellished with patios, flowery alleys and fountains. I found the gardens more beautiful and better maintained than those of the more renowned Alcazar of Seville.

Sleep one night in Cordoba.

To visit Cordoba in 1 day, you will find more information in this article: What to see in Cordoba?

Day 5-8: Granada and its Surroundings

Today, we are leaving for a new stage of this 2-week Andalucia itinerary.

And I take you to another well-known city in Andalucia: Granada. Well, not right away, because before arriving in Granada at the end of the day, I plan two stops for you in super pleasant villages to visit.

They are both listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites for their Renaissance-style monuments.

We start with Ubeda, 1h30 by car from Cordoba. This authentic little village is very different from the typical Andalucian villages with their white houses.

During your walk, do not miss:

Then get back in the car to reach Baeza, just 8 km away.

On the same principle, take a short walk to discover:

Reach Granada, 1h30 away, at the end of the afternoon.

Baeza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Today, start your city tour. Just like Seville and Cordoba, Granada also has its emblematic monument: the Alhambra.

To be able to visit it, you must imperatively have reserved your places in advance on the Internet. And when I say in advance, that is to say weeks or even months before depending on the period of your two-week itinerary in Andalucia.

The Alhambra can indeed boast of being the most visited site in Spain, ahead of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. When you buy your tickets, make sure it includes the 3 places to see in the Alhambra:

It is also possible to visit the Alhambra with a guideTickets can be booked directly here.

The Andalucia Pass (click here) which also includes a visit to the Alcazar of Seville and a guided tour of the Mezquita in Cordoba, also offers a skip-the-line ticket to visit the Alhambra in Granada.

Another option to get your Alhambra tickets is  to buy the Granada Card. I talk about it in my “Tips for your Andalucia itinerary:” a little later.

Visiting the Alhambra will take you a good morning.

When you leave, I advise you to continue the day with:

Spend a second night in Granada.

The Alhambra of Grenade

The next day, continue the walk through Granada:

Stay in Granada.

For your 3rd day in Granada, I suggest you get out of the city and spend a “more natural” day.

Head to the Sierra Nevada mountain range, a 50-minute drive from Granada.

In winter (from December to April), you can ski there. And during the other seasons, it is the ideal place for hiking and many other sports activities such as mountain biking, climbing or paragliding.

You can get there on your own by car or enjoy a day trip from Granada, in a 4*4 with a guide who will show you the most beautiful places in the Sierra Nevada!

Details for reservations can be found here!

Return to spend one last night in Granada.

For all the information to visit Granada and its surroundings, do not hesitate to read our article: What to do and see in Granada?

Tips for your Andalucia itinerary:

There is a city pass for visiting Granada: the Granada Card. It is valid for 3 consecutive days.

With this card, you will have access to public transport and above all to several of the city’s unmissable monuments: the Alhambra, the cathedral, the royal chapel as well as the Cartuja monastery or the Science Park.

Day 9-11: Malaga / Caminito del Rey / Marbella

For the fourth stage of this two-week circuit in Andalucia, discover Malaga and its surroundings.

From Granada, you will take about 1h40 to reach Malaga.

Once there, here is what I advise you to do:

For the afternoon, you can visit one of the city’s 30 museums.

As in Malaga the cultural offer is very developed, you will be spoiled for choice with:

Of course, you won’t be able to visit them all, but there are surely some that correspond to your centers of interest.

Depending on the museum you have chosen, be sure (before or after the visit) to pass by the Cathedral of the Incarnation of Malaga to take a look inside. Also worth doing is the climb to the top of the tower for the 360° panorama of the city.

At the end of the day, if you want to take a break for swimming and sunbathing, Malagueta beach is the most easily accessible.

Stay in Malaga.

The Alcazaba and the Cathedral of the Incarnation

Today, second day in Malaga, I leave you the choice between several programs.

If you’re too lazy to take your car, stay in Malaga. You still have to see:

If you want to enjoy Andalucian nature and stretch your legs:

If you don’t feel like going on your own, you can be accompanied by a guide. However, places must be reserved in advance. Book your guided Caminito hike right here!

Spend another night in Malaga.

The Caminito del Rey, in Andaloucia

The next day, a cool and relaxing program for this 2-week stay in Andalucia: spending a day in Marbella.

You can enjoy the 20 km of beach of the most chic and trendy seaside resort on the Costa del Sol.

Return to spend one last night in Malaga.

If you want to know everything about Malaga and the things to see in and around town, it’s in our article: Visiting Malaga.

Tips for your Andalucia itinerary:

To visit the Alcazaba and the Roman theater, there is also a guided tour that lasts approximately 1h30.

The Alcazaba, in Malaga

Day 12-13: Ronda / Arcos de la Frontera

And we continue this two-week Andalucia itinerary, heading for the charming village of Ronda.

From Malaga, count a journey time of 1h30.

Ronda being located on a rocky promontory, you can admire pretty views of the surrounding valley. But what makes its reputation is above all its bridge, very photogenic which connects the 2 parts of Ronda.

The village of Ronda is one of the most touristic in Andalucia.

In Ronda, in addition to the bridge, you can discover:

All the details about these places to visit can be found in our article: What to see in Ronda?

From Ronda, then go back up by car to take the road of the white villages. As its name suggests, it will take you through pretty villages with facades of whitewashed houses and mostly located on a hill.

If you only have to see one, I advise you to stop at Zahara de la Sierra. It is one of the most typical.

Then join Arcos de la Frontera (1 hour drive), your stopover for the next 2 nights.

The white village of Ronda

The next day, I advise you to go to the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, 30 minutes by car from Arcos.

There are several possible entrances with different hiking trail departures.

The village of “El Bosque” is the closest to Arcos. It has a visitor center where you can find out about the paths. Some may be prohibited due to fire hazards.

We chose the “El rio majaceite” trail. It allows you to walk along the river of the same name which is really pleasant, if like us, it is very hot that day. It’s all shaded and you can even dip your feet in to cool off. Allow 4 hours of walking there and back.

After the walk, I recommend that you go for a walk in the village of Arcos. To explore it on foot, follow the “ruta monumental” signs to see the churches and the castle. You will also find several cafes and restaurants.

Spend one last night in Arcos.

Tips for your Andalucia itinerary:

If you have chosen the B&B El Fogon del Duende as your accommodation, eat at the restaurant “La Posada del Duende”, which is only 5 minutes away by car. We found the dishes really good and ate there both nights!

Day 14: Cadiz

Visiting Andalucia in 15 days also means having time to discover Cadiz.

Cadiz is not often included in a Andalucia itinerary, as it is less popular than Seville, Granada or Cordoba and yet it is a city that is definitely worth a visit. I do not regret at all having integrated it into my holidays in Andalucia.

And from Arcos, the town is only a 45-minute drive away.

The arrival in Cádiz is made through the Constitution Bridge at 185 meters high. The work is really impressive, it is one of the highest maritime bridges in the world!

Here is the itinerary that I suggest to visit Cadiz on foot in 1 day:

Spend a night in Cadiz.

Do not hesitate to read our article on Cadiz for details of places to visit: What to do in Cadiz?

Tips for your Andalucia itinerary:

In Cadiz, the underground car park located at the port level is the most practical for visiting. It is near the historic center and Plaza de San Juan de Dios.

To get there, after the Constitution bridge, follow Las cortes de Cadiz Avenue and Astilleros Avenue.

Day 15: Return to Seville

And here you are already at the end of this circuit in Andalucia by car!

Today, return to Seville to catch your return flight. From Cadiz, it will take you about 1h20 to reach the airport.

Now you know what to do and see in Andalucia in 15 days!

Tips for your Andalucia itinerary:

Your holidays in Andalucia last 14 days? Delete a day at the Granada or Malaga stage.

For a 16-day itinerary in Andalucia, add a day to discover the Doñana National Park. It is only 50 minutes from Cadiz and it is one of the largest protected areas in Europe.

Do not hesitate to give us your opinions and suggestions on our recommended 14-15 days Andalucia itinerary!
